How to make macaroons?

I've tried to make macaroons twice before. Both times I messed something up. But since third time's the charm...
Here's the recipe. Try it yourself and make sure to let me know how did your macaroons turn out- I'm curious.
macaroons
You'll need:
50 g of almond flour (you can just use peeled almonds and crush them in blender to make the flour)
2 eggs (you'll only need eggwhites)
25 g of sugar
100 g of caster sugar

1. Preheat oven to 150C (300F)
2. Mix together almond flour and caster sugar
3. Beat up the eggwhites till they won't flow out of the bowl when you turn the bowl over. Add a little salt and gradually add sugar, 1 tea spoon at a time (it is very (!) important to add the sugar this way, this was one of the mistaces I made when trying to make macaroons for the first time)
If you'd like to make colorful macaroons, now's the time to add a little food colouring.

4. Add half of the almond mix to the egg-sugar mix and fold it in. Slowly, add the other half of the almond mis to the dough. Stir, until everything is even. Don't overstir, but if the paste is too thich, stir some more. Try to get the perfect consistence.

5. Transfer mixture to a large pastry bag. Pipe mixture into marked circles on prepared baking sheet. Let the macaroons dry for some time until they are dry to touch.
6. Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until macaroons feel slightly firm and can be gently lifted off the parchment (the bottoms will be dry), 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer parchment and macaroons to a wire rack to cool completely. Using a small offset spatula, carefully remove macaroons from parchment.

7. Use buttercream or white chocolate to connect two sides of the macaroons.
Voila!

TIP!
-You can sparate eggwhites from yolks the night before you start making the macaroons.
macaroons

Olen makaroone varem teha püüdnud kaks korda. Mõlemil korral olen midagi valesti teinud ning makaroonid pole välja tulnud. Aga kuna kolm on kohtu seadus, siis...
Siin on retsept. Proovige ise järele ja kindlasti rääkige ja näidake mulle ka, kuidas välja tuli- olen uudishimulik.

Vaja on:
50 g mandlijahu (Võid mandlilaastud või kooritud mandlid blenderis lihtsalt jahuks jahvatada. Kui kasutad jahu tegemiseks koorimata mandleid, tulevad makaroonid natuke pruunikad, kuna jahu sisse lähevad ka mandli koored)
2 muna (vaja läheb ainult munavalget)
25 g suhkrut
100 g tuhksuhkrut

1. Eelkuumuta ahi 150C
2. Sega kokku mandlijahu ning tuhksuhkur
5. Pane taigen tordipritsi või kilekotti, mille nurgas on auk ning pigista sellest küpsetuspaberile väiksed täidetud ringid. Jäta need mõneks ajaks seisma kuni need on pealt kuivanud.
6. Pane plaat ahju ning küpseta, kuni makaroonid on pealt katsudes väikse koorikuga. Ära üleküpseta, muidu muutuvad makaroonid pealt pruuniks.
7. Sulata veevannis valge shokolaad ning pane see kahe makarooni-koogikese vahele.
Voila!

  17. MM...need näevad nii head välja. Kas millegi muuga saab ka jahvatada, kui blenderit pole?

  18. LIISA - need mandlilaastud on üsna pehmed, ma arvan et neid saaks isegi käsitsi kuidagi jahvatada. Või kohviveskiga näiteks... :D
