Last night I arrived home from the countryside. I visited lake Peipsi and the wonderful surroundings and I wanted to share some of the amazing sights with you.
I'm a huge fan of graveyards, they're so quiet and calm and mystical. My favourite is one graveyard in Austria, but this one in Kasepää is a close second. It's mainly russian graves overflowed with statues, fake flowers and decorations and it's on top of the hill right next to a lake which makes it even more beautiful.
On both sides of the street there were houses like you won't see anywhere else. The gardens were filled with small statues, fountains, windmills, etc. I just wanted to peek into the interiors!
We stayed at my boyfriend's summer cottage. I even managed to not be scared of spiders there.
We visited abandoned cafes and department stores as well as very much working marketplaces.
And watched sunsets by the lake. The water was very cold, but we had a swim anyways.

ReplyDeletetohutult sarnased ikka.. kuigi jah, seal on tõesti igas pisikeses külas oma kalmistu. need Sinu pildid meenutasid mulle kohe mu enda tehtud pilte Kallaste omast :P aga küllap Kallaste oma on veidi kõrgemal siiski :)
